MEDITATION CENTRE
in Rome
I am an independent Dharma teacher and have been teaching in various parts of Italy for over 25 years. In order to avoid travelling and to fulfil the wishes of many friends who would like to follow my teachings and participate in my meditation sessions, I am considering establishing a meditation centre in Rome. This would serve as a base for holding regular Dharma and meditation sessions, which would be open to all free of charge. This would provide an opportunity for anyone who truly wishes to practise Dharma and meditation.
The centre will promote cultural and interfaith activities, fostering peace as a universal value, drawing on my experience of over 25 years' involvement in intercultural activities, interfaith meetings, and various social and humanitarian conferences in Italy and around the world.
In order to achieve this objective, it is imperative to secure the necessary financial resources to ensure the upkeep of a venue equipped with the requisite facilities. This preliminary proposal for the project is merely a quest for benefactors.
I am interested in providing a modern spiritual education that nevertheless preserves classical values. The Dharma, when understood as universal spirituality, fosters harmony with all things in the material world. My research concerns a universal spiritual path of the Dharma that is suitable for and beneficial to all human and sentient beings.
I would like it to be based on the wisdom and traditional methodology of the Lam Rim scriptures. At the same time, it should remain in harmony with modern conveniences and comforts. This includes sophisticated technologies. It should also integrate with other cultures, spiritual traditions and existing educational systems.
My vision is a spiritual openness that transcends all barriers between religions and spiritual groups, where anyone seeking spiritual enrichment can find common ground for universal harmony.
