Microcosm/Macrocosm Connection

The following is a short reflection of mine in response to a question that I have received.

The subject matter is complex. According to Mantrayana, the human body corresponds on a microcosmic level to the universe of the Abhidharmakosa or Kalachakra Tantra.
Therefore, the movements of the microcosm and macrocosm must correspond.

It is not clear to me how the idea that morning breathing can improve concentration can be related to the concept of the magrocosm.

The Abhidharmakosa and the Kalachakra Tantra, which describe the universe in two different ways, are based on the Indian cosmology of the time.

Certain days, such as the full moon, the first day of the month and the end of the month, are considered more effective for spiritual practice and meditation because of the microcosm/macrocosm connection. Lunar or solar eclipses can also be influential. There can therefore be different effects on the evolution of the cosmos even in a 24-hour period.

Most Tantric practices, including sadhana (deities and mandalas), are based on Master Bashubandu's Abidharmakosa cosmology. The Kalachakra Tantra is considered a separate system. It is separate from the general Mantrayana system. It can also be innovative within the Mantrayana practice. Kalachakra Tantra is considered a more recent tantric teaching than all other historically documented tantric teachings.

In Tibetan tradition of Mantrayana Buddhism, Manjushrinamasamghiti is considered as the basis of all tantric teachings.

The Tibetan astrological system currently relies on the description of the world found in the Kalachakra tantra. This system produces an annual calendar of Tibetan Buddhist festivals, which includes a double month every three years. Some months are characterized by double days, while others have missing days.

In this reality of the connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm, every positive thought can have a positive effect on the health of our planet.
